Morrisey Song of the Day
This song popped into my head this morning; as they do :) I already blipped it (www.blip.fm) but they didn’t have the ‘Live at the Hollywood Bowl’ version which I absolutely love. I managed to find it on YouTube though; This is obviously a song about (against) Nationalism, but he manages to give it a bittersweet slant.
So, here it is.. </object>Posted by email from...

playing in my head all morning. Currently my favorite Morrissey song. Beautiful melody, bittersweet (satirical) lyrics. It’s even better LIVE though

A tribute to Michael Hedges
This song has been in my head all day.. I saw Michael play as the support act for Suzanne Vega in 1989. I had never heard of him before and when he was announced and came on the stage, just a guy with an acoustic guitar I was not expecting much. After the first chord everyone in the crowd knew that this guy was not just a “folkie”. Having 3 or more pickups on his guitar he was able to...
Hard to sleep now :)

Eddie Vedder & Laird Hamilton
Now watching “Iconoclasts”, a film about Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam) and Laird Hamilton (Big Wave Surfer). Fascinating stuff! So that’s my TV night. What’s yours?Posted by email from Andreas’s posterous | Comment »
Awesome Documentary
I just finished watching “Manda Bala”, a film about corruption, kidnapping and plastic surgery in Brazil (!!) I’m not usually very keen on dokus but this just won me over; I couldn’t stop watching. Super camerawork and a great soundtrack too. Very catchy. Have to get back and brush up my Portuguese.Posted by email from Andreas’s posterous | Comment »
